Anyone had any luck with this?
My dream is some sort of bluetooth chat client, that you could just pop open as the mood struck.
I imagine a program called "Frisky"
You open it up & your avatar appears to other nearby frisky folk. Your avatar is some idealized version of you.. or not. Avatar info lists your gender or gender Identity, as well as if you are looking for men, women, trans or some other flavor. You might include sexual or other activities you enjoy with others.
You could Blue chat this way & if you want to, take it further.
Just think of the Frisky times that could be spent on BART or MUNI or waiting at the airport.
I used to live in a really big apartment complex.. and often thought "how many folks here go to bed every night lonely & horny? If only there were some safe & perhaps anonymous way the ones that want something could hook up"

Re: Blue dating
Wed, December 19, 2007 - 1:57 PMWhen AT&T wireless launched its mmode GPRS phone service, it offered something of the sort, where it would alert you of other mmode wireless users in the area and their preferences (movies, dinner, etc.) Not sure if it ever caught on though. I think it might have freaked people out to have random strangers knowing their exact location via GPS.
Seems to me someone is doing a free, web-based geomapping service using IP addresses for polyamorous folk... not sure what that is called. Hm... anyone?
