How comfortable are you with the idea of wanting to date someone who's in the service, be it military, navy or any other?

Re: Datting Someone in Service
Wed, September 26, 2007 - 11:29 AMI used to live right outside of Ft. Riley in KS, so it's happened. It has it's ups and downs. Fidelity is hard with long absences, however for casual dating it's pretty swank.
Plus, sex in an army barracks is kinda hot. ;)

Fri, September 28, 2007 - 11:04 AMIf you care about someone, what the heck has distance got to do with it? It isn't easy, but it's doable. -

Re: Datting Someone in Service
Fri, September 28, 2007 - 3:22 PMYour right cc...... I was in the Coast Guard and all the black shoes had a hell of a time being gone so dam much.... I was in Aviation so I was home most nights. It's true you Navy gals have a hard time of it. But I must admit, many wives would be hanging out in the EM Club a month of so after the ship left, a lot of them had arrangements with there men to get a little when they were at sea, as long as they were at the dock when the old man came home...... -

Re: Datting Someone in Service
Sun, September 30, 2007 - 1:09 AMI was in the Navy and married. It wasn't easy for her. In fact, her insecurity tied in with allegations of stereotypical behavior is what killed out marriage. Personally, I would love to be with somebody who serves in uniform. Most military people are independent, strong willed, and decisive leaders. All traits I find admirable in somebody I'd want to be with. -
